2023 Opening Day Tournament

Low Net was the format for the "Win" division of the tournament played on holes 1-6. The winning team with a score of 20 was Secretariat: Pon Fisher, Leslie Tieszen, Sue Ellis (left to right) and Barb O'Mara (not pictured).

The 2023 season is "Off to the Races"! An early start on a brisk spring morning started off the day. Tournament format was 6 holes of Low Net, 6 holes of Alternate Shot and 6 holes of Scramble, with winning teams in each of those formats. The "Trifecta" was the best team overall.

All of the teams were named for a famous race horse and each team had a "Lead Jockey" who helped with instructions for the tournament and scoring.

Lunch followed a fun day of golf in the Amenity Center Ballrooms D&E. A delicious lunch of Mexican food was catered by Casa Del Bro. Choices included tacos, nachos or salads accompanied by rice and beans.

Thanks to Elizabeth Grubb and her committee for all of the effort put into planning such a great event. Committee members were Dana Aupperle, Becki Ernst, Myrna Flick, Sue Frisby, Sue Miller, Jean Plummer, Susan Rice, Jane Schwend, and Barb Stamas.
